How Raw, Species-Appropriate Diets are Changing Dogs for the Better

Max

Breed: Belgian Malinois

Occupation: Narcotics and Apprehension K9

City: Livermore, California

Plan: Custom Meal Prep

Plan Objective: Help Max retain wieght and enhance his scentwork skills

Max's owner originally came to us looking for a solution to help Max sustain his energy levels and weight. All of the high calorie foods were not doing the trick, and Max was depleted and underweight.

Not only did Max need more food, he required a wider variety of nutrients in his diet. The answer was a raw meal plan that would give Max more energy and the exact nutrients his body needs.

Max's meal plan is also built to strengthen his scentwork because he is a detection K9. By creating a plan that contains higher amounts of animal fat and lower amounts of protein, Max's body temperature remains cooler and therefore keeps his olfactory system clear.

Since his raw food transformation, he has continued to be an asset to the Livermore PD, and has been able to remain at an appropriate weight.

Tally

Breed: American Bully

Occupation: Pet Dog and Sport Dog

City: Danville, California

Plan: Custom Meal Prep

Plan Objective: Tally, like many bully breeds, suffers from skin issues. Certain kibble brands made these issues worse. By creating a custom meal plan with rich nutrition and skin- soothing ingredients that address discomfort from the inside out, Tally is now free to do all the outdoor activities, without the allergy attacks and dry skin.

A raw diet also helps Tally sustain her energy levels and her owner reports better performance during sport work--and most importantly, less itching!

With All The Right Nutrients.

Fats

Fats protect internal organs, help regulate body temperature, and promote a healthy nervous system. If fat levels are too low, dogs also develop dry, itchy skin and dull coats.

Protein

Dogs need 22 amino acids to produce the proteins necessary to survive. A dog naturally makes about half of those amino acids, but they need proper amounts of protein to make the rest.

Vitamins

Proper amounts of vitamin D, A, E, C, K and B12 help maintain immune functions, prevent blood clots, and help your pet fight off sicknesses.

Minerals

Minerals help your dog develop strong bones and cartilage formation, ultimately preventing injury and aiding in graceful aging.
